Deed record, 1819- .

All deeds must be recorded in the office of the probate judge of the county in which the property is situated when executed in accordance with law (see Ala. Code, 35-4-51 and 35-4-62 [1975]). This series consists of transcriptions or photoduplications of deeds and includes the following information: name of party to whom land is conveyed, date, description of property, amount of transaction, date recorded, and name of person conveying property. This record began in 1819 and continues to the present.
